and repair. Do not attempt to repair the appliance on your own.
Operate the appliance on a well accessible, stable, level, dry, and
suitable large table or counter that is resistant against water, fat, and
heat, and where the appliance will not slip. Do not place any clothes
or tissue or other foreign objects under or on the appliance during
operation, to avoid risk of fire, electric shock overheating and dama-
ge.
• During operation keep the appliance in an appropriate distance of at
least 50 cm on each side, to the edge of the working space and to
furniture, walls, curtains, and other objects to avoid damage due to
heat and splashes. Leave at least 1 m of free space above the appli-
ance. Do not operate the appliance under over-hanging boards or
drop lights.
• Always keep the appliance and the table or counter clean and dry,
and wipe off spilled liquids immediately.
• Do not place the appliance or any part of it on or near hot surfaces
(i.e. burner, heater, or oven). When using wrapped food, always
ensure to use thick, high-quality aluminium foil suited for grilling.
Do not use any other types of foil (e.g. kitchen foil, microwave foil,
baking paper, or tin foil for food storage), to avoid risk of fire, elec-
tric shock, and damage. Refer to the product information of the foil
manufacturer.
• RISK OF EXPLOSION AND FIRE! DO NOT pour or place any inflam-
mable liquids or objects on or near the appliance (e.g. high-proof
alcoholic drinks, mineralized spirit, fire starter). Due to the heat radi-
ation of the appliance, inflammable materials may evaporate even
when being placed near the appliance. These vapours may catch
fire, when coming in contact with any source of ignition (e.g. hot
surfaces, candles, cigarettes, electric circuits of the appliance). The
appliance is NOT suited for flambéing.
• This appliance may be used or handled by persons (including child-
ren from 8 years and above) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, if they have been
given supervision and/or instruction concerning the use of the appli-
