YOUR RUSH 4
The Rush 4 represents the latest generation of high performance
sports intermediate wings and epitomises our aim for True Perform-
ance. The Rush 4 replaces the successful Rush 3, our mission was
to maximise glide ratio and minimum sink rate performance whilst
increasing ease of use, safety and fun. Using the Delta 2 as our blue-
print we have managed to improve on its predecessor in all aspects,
further refining the feel and handling for maximum pleasure.
Based on the Delta 2, the Rush 4 retains its class leading perform-
ance, combining sporty dynamic handling, great speed and high levels
of safety in a comfortable and accessible package. This makes it suit-
able for a wide range of pilots, from recreation flyers to experienced
XC hounds alike.
The Rush 4 incorporates all of our know-how and experience gained
in the on-going Performance Research Project and includes Ozone
SharkNose Technology, Delta 2 arc, mini ribs and plastic nose rein-
forcements. The cell count has increased to 57 which gives a clean,
wrinkle-free leading edge. Coupled with a 25% reduction in total line
drag compared to the Rush3, it is the most efficient wing we have
ever produced in this category.
The Rush 4 is the Delta 2's little brother. In the air it has a very
similar feel to the Delta 2 in terms of handling, precision, solidity, and
spin-resistance but with the reassurance of a lower aspect ratio,
longer - more forgiving brake travel and EN B certification.
We think the Rush 4 will more than satisfy even the most demanding
pilots in the Sport-Intermediate class, and maybe even tempt some
pilots from more advanced classes. It is not suitable for training or
low airtime pilots.
Rucksack
The bag is light in weight, comfortable and useful (padded hip belt,
ergonomic and adjustable shoulder straps). It has a large volume that
will allow you to store all your kit, whilst still being comfortable for
hiking.

Brake Lines

The brake line lengths have been set carefully during testing. We feel
it is better to have slightly long brake lines and to fly with a wrap
(one turn of line around the hand). However, if you do choose to ad-
just them, please keep in mind the following:
Ensure both main brake lines are of equal length.
If a brake handle has been removed, check that its line is still
routed through the pulley when it is replaced.
When the brake handles are released in flight, the brake lines
should be slack. There must be a substantial "bow" in them to
guarantee no deformation of the trailing edge.
There must be a minimum of 10cm of free play before the brakes
begin to deform the trailing edge. This prevents the trailing edge
from being deformed when using the speed system.
IMPORTANT: In the unlikely event of a brake line snapping
in flight, or a handle becoming detached, the glider can be
flown by gently pulling the rear risers (C-risers) for direc-
tional control.
Risers
The Rush 4 has been designed with 3 risers. The A riser is covered
with coloured webbing, this allows it to be easily identified.
The A's are Grey. You will notice that the A's are split into two risers.
The small riser, holding only one line (outermost A line) is the 'Baby A',
it has been designed to make applying big ears simple.
The risers do not feature trimmers.
