1. Boil water and use it to moisten the permanent fi lter. The
hot water will preheat the permanent fi lter and the carafe.
2. Pour hot water into your favourite cup and preheat it.
3. Remove the permanent fi lter by the tab and pour away the
water from the carafe.
4. Insert the permanent fi lter back into the carafe.
5. Fill the permanent fi lter with the desired amount of freshly
ground coffee.
We recommend 15 g of ground coffee per 250 ml of
water. You will fi nd more information on this in the next
chapter.
6. Leave the boiled water to cool to around 92 to 96 °C
before pouring it over the coffee powder.
7. Pour only enough water over the coffee powder so that it
can swell up, and then allow it to rest for about 30 seconds.
8. Now slowly and evenly pour the desired amount of water
over the coffee powder in circular movements. The amount
of water in the permanent fi lter should be the same for the
entire brewing time of about 2 ½ to 4 minutes.
9. Once all the water has run through the permanent fi lter,
take the permanent fi lter out of the carafe by the tab.
10. Pour the water out of your preheated cup.
11. Now you can pour the coffee that has been made directly
from the carafe.
