Temperature classes:
The devices are divided into classes of maximum permissible
surface temperatures in accordance with Directive 2014/34/
EC (temperature classes). The specifi cation regarding the
temperature class is indicated on the rating plate of the de-
vices. The specifi cation regarding the class of the highest
permissible surface temperature is understood to be operat-
ing the device for its intended purpose.

Certain applications and operating conditions may increase
the hazard potential and must be communicated in advance
to Elektror and agreed upon with Elektror.
1.2 Normal installation positions
• The fans are only approved for installation indoors.
Outdoor installation is only permitted with suitable
weather protection for the complete fan.
• Ensure that the installation situation does not affect the
ventilation system of the drive motor.

• Avoid aggressive ambient conditions, high air humidity or
strong temperature fl uctuations which may lead to
condensation forming on the motor/blower.
Intended use includes:
• The blowers are exclusively designed for conveying
gaseous media without solids. The resistance should be
checked against the used steel sheet for operation with
aggressive media. We recommend a condensed water
borehole at the lowest point in the housing in the event of
the formation of condensation.
• S1 operation (continuous operation)The blower is funda-
mentally designed for S1 operation (continuous opera-
tion).
• Auxiliary heating is also possible with individual models
(only category Ex db eb II 2G T4 135°C).
• Device category 2G and 3G:
The medium to be conveyed and the environment do not
contain substances that may corrode materials, such as
acids, alkaline solutions, solvents, aggressive or abrasive
gases, liquids or solids. The medium to be conveyed is
free of depositing, sticky or condensing substances and
foreign objects.
• Device category 3D:
The medium to be conveyed and the environment do not
contain substances that may corrode materials, such as
acids, alkaline solutions, solvents, aggressive or abrasive
gases or liquids. The medium to be conveyed is free of
sticky or condensing substances and foreign objects.
• Fans with motors in accordance with ignition protection
type Ex db eb are only suitable for frequency converter
operation with a rated voltage of ± 5%
• The values for the maximum/minimum frequency can be
found at 3.3.1.
