Operation

PLEASE NOTE!
Ensure that there are no larger, sharp objects on the surface which is to be cleaned.
Note the MAX marking on the dust container. If during use the marking is reached,
empty the dust container. Empty and clean the dust container after each use. The
fi lters must also be regularly cleaned in order to prevent overloading of the motor.
Switch the device off after each surface has been cleaned as this will considerably
increase the operating time on each battery charge. Charge up the battery after use
(see the "Charging Up the Battery" chapter).
1. Select an accessory as required (see the "Accessories" chapter) and attach it to the
device (see the "Assembly" chapter).
2. Switch on the device by pressing the On / Off switch (8) once. If the device is to be
switched off again, press the On / Off switch again. The device will start vacuuming
immediately. The Level I operating lamp (6) lights up.
3. If necessary, Level II can be switched on with the I / II button (7). The Level I and II
operating lamps light up. To switch back to Level I, press the I / II button again.
4. Move the device over the surface to be cleaned.
5. Switch off the device after vacuuming.
6. To ensure optimum performance of the device, empty and if necessary clean the dust
container after every use (see next chapter).

Cleaning and Storage

PLEASE NOTE!
Do not immerse the HEPA fi lter in water or rinse it under running water to prevent
damage to the fi lter. It is neither machine-washable, dishwasher-safe nor suitable for
tumble drying.
The fi lter holder and the dust fi lter are not machine-washable, dishwasher-safe or suita-
ble for tumble drying! Only ever dry them in the air, and never use a hair dryer to do so.
Do not use any sharp or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the housing. They may
damage the surfaces.
The HEPA fi lter may lose some of its colour over time. This is normal and does
not have any adverse effect on function.

Emptying the Dust Container

1. Remove the dust container from the motor unit (F) (see the "Assembly" chapter –
"Removing / Inserting the Dust Container").
2. Hold the dust container over an open dustbin. The distance from the dustbin should
be as small as possible so that the dust does not spread in the surrounding air.
3. Pull the tab (2) on the dust container gently upwards. The lid of the dust container (1)
will open and the dirt will fall out.
4. To close it, press the lid onto the dust container. The tab must engage audibly.
