Problem
After some time of sto-
rage, the container or bag
is filled with gas again.

The vacuum container is

and dry.

The Easy Solution
Ensure that the vacuum container is completely undama-
ged and without any friable areas, cracks, scratches and
deformation. If in doubt, use another container. Do not
use vacuum containers any more for vacuum
sealing, when they are torn, melted, brittle,
or damaged in any other way!
Some types of food produce gases during storage. These
types of food are not suited for vacuum sealing (see:
'Important Tips for Vacuum Sealing').
Perishable food produces gases when going bad. In any
case, discard the food!
Before vacuum sealing, ensure that the sealing areas of
the vacuum container or bag are undamaged and com-
pletely clean and dry. When the food is still in perfect
condition, you should consume it in time. Some types of
dry food may be vacuum sealed again.

vacuum container, when it is brittle, scratched, broken
or worn. Ensure that the bag or vacuum container is
completely undamaged. There may be no perforations,
cracks, or deformations. If in doubt, use another bag or
vacuum container. Handle vacuumized bags with care
to avoid perforating the foil. This holds especially, when
freezing the bag. Protect vacuum containers and bags
from excessive mechanical or thermal stress and direct
sunlight. Do not place any heavy or sharp-edged objects
on the bags or vacuum containers, even when they are
not vacuumized.
