Usage
Use this function for being in full manual control of the evacuating
process. When evacuating a bag, a considerable pressure will be
applied to the objects within. Sensitive objects may be crushed and
smashed. Additionally, food with high content of moisture could get
undesirably dry, because the liquid may evaporate and be sucked
out. In these cases, you should control the vacuum pump manually
via this function, decreasing the pressure within the bag step by
step. This way, delicate objects will not be smashed and liquids not
be sucked out.
Use this function for evacuating containers. The appliance generates
a pre-set low pressure within the vacuum container. As soon as this
pressure is reached, the vacuum pump stops automatically. The con-
tainer is sealed via the pressure valve in the lid. You need the appro-
priate vacuum hose for using this function (see: 'Knowing Your New
Vacuum Sealer / Accessories Additionally Available'). Ensure to con-
nect the vacuum hose tightly to the vacuum port of the appliance and
to the pressure valve of the container.
NOTE: To prevent germs from getting into your food, it is good
advice to sterilize the vacuum container and container lid before
filling in food.
Press one of these buttons to start the vacuum sealing cycle for
your bag. The bags will be evacuated first and then sealed using
the vacuum time and sealing time, currently shown on the display
areas. Select the appropriate type of food or object, you wish to
vacuum seal:
•
DRY food or solid objects (e.g. dried legumes, dried fruit).
Using this function, the vacuum pump is operated on full
power.
•
MOIST food containing a lot of liquid (e.g. fish or meat, fresh
vegetables and fruit) or powder. The vacuum pump will be
operated on reduced power.
