Please check at regular intervals
whether permanent media recording in
driving mode is permitted in the country
in which you are located.

Parking mode

The ACE 2.0 automatically switches to parking
mode when the car's ignition is switched off.
The area in front of and behind the car can be
monitored by the radar and G sensors.
Parking mode may be enabled or
disabled in the default settings
depending on your country.
Please check at regular intervals
whether monitoring in parking mode
is legal in the country in which you are
located.
When at least one of the two sensor systems
is enabled, if a vibration is detected on the
car (G sensor) or a motion is detected in front
of one of the two cameras (radar sensor), a
20-second video sequence will be recorded.
The safety LED on the front camera will flash to
indicate this recording. If new G sensor events
have been recorded, the next time the engine
is started, an acoustic announcement will be
made "Events saved in parking mode".
If the proximity sensor is also enabled,
the probability of recording in full any
damage to the car whilst it is parked is
increased.

To ensure that system-related vibrations in
parking mode whilst getting in and out of the
car or during the loading and unloading phase
of the car are not classed as relevant G sensor
events, a power-up and power-down time of
2 or 3 minutes is implemented as standard at
the "Ignition on" time. G sensor events which
take place during these periods do not trigger
the announcement "Events saved in parking
mode". They will still be saved to the micro SD
card and displayed in the ACE 2.0 app. During
the power-up time, the ACE 2.0 can also be
controlled using the ACE 2.0 app (for example
to change the settings and view recorded video
files).
The radar sensor is not active during the
power-down time.
The ACE 2.0 monitors its own power
requirement in parking mode. After it has
consumed a defined quantity of power, the
radar system will be disabled and the car
will only be monitored by the G sensor. The
G sensor monitoring will also be disabled after
a further defined quantity of power has been
consumed, meaning that the ACE 2.0 will be
shut down. This prevents the car's battery
becoming drained so that the car can still be
started.
The energy consumption and therefore the
duration of possible monitoring depends on the
activity of the ACE 2.0 in parking mode and on
the condition of your car battery.
Please check the condition of
your battery and the maintenance
instructions in your car's owner's
manual.
