Anleitung RT_FF_1825_U_SPK1:_
rise slowly, applying slight counterpressure as it
does so.
7. Extend the limiting lever for cross cut saw mode
(35) (Fig. 13).
8. If necessary release the retaining nut (26) for the
splitter (12), swing the splitter upwards and
tighten the retaining nut again (14 – 16).
9. Connect a suitable dust extraction system to the
extractor port (Fig. 17 / Item 27) or fit the dust
bag (1) supplied with the machine (Fig. 20). The
supplied plastic adapter can be used to connect
a dust extraction system.
Each time you adjust the machine, check
whether the saw blade (4) moves freely in every
possible position.
7.1.2 Safety equipment for the crosscut and miter
saw
1. Saw blade guard and lowering lock
(Fig. 1 / Item 15)
The saw blade guard is designed to prevent contact
with the saw blade and to stop chips being
catapulted out of the machine. The saw blade guard
must always return to its initial position automatically.
When the machine head (17) is in its upper position,
the saw blade must have all-round protection. Push
the lever (36) to the left to open the saw blade guard
(15) and release the lowering lock (Fig. 18).
2. Two-point switch (Fig. 18 / Item 37)
The machine is fitted with a two-point switch (37) to
protect it from being switched on by accident. To
switch on the machine, first press the lock-off knob
and then press the switch. To switch off, let go of the
lock-off knob and switch.
3. Clamping device (Fig. 21 / Item 38)
The machine is fitted with a clamping device (38) for
workpieces. The workpiece must always be secured
on the saw bench (2) using the clamping device (38).
Fit the clamping device (38) on the left or right or the
saw bench (2) to suit the type of cut you want to
make and secure it with the screw (A). Place the
workpiece on the saw bench (2) and against the stop
rail (18). Tighten screw (B) until the clamping device
(38) touches the workpiece and secure the
workpiece by pulling down the lever (C). Several
workpieces of the same height can be clamped
quickly and easily in sequence using the high speed
clamping function of the lever (C).

7.1.3 Operation as a crosscut and miter saw
A. Crosscut 0° and turntable 0° (Fig. 22)
Clamp the workpiece, switch on the saw and
release the lowering lock (see point 7.1.2)
When you have switched on the saw, wait until
the saw blade (4) has reached maximum speed.
Move the machine head (17) evenly and with
gentle pressure through the workpiece.
After the cutting process is finished, bring the
machine head back to its upper (home) position
and switch off the saw.
Important. The integral resetting springs will
automatically lift the machine head. Do not let go
of the handle (16) after cutting, but allow the
machine head (17) to rise slowly, applying slight
counterpressure as it does so.
B. Crosscut 0° and turntable 0°- 45°
(Fig. 1, 19, 23)
In crosscut and miter saw mode, it is possible to
complete angle cuts to the left and right at angles of
0° - 45°.
Release the turntable (19) by slackening the
locking screw (30).
Move the turntable to the required angle using
the handle (16), in other words the pointer (31)
must point to the required angle on the scale
(32). The saw has automatic locking positions at
angles of -45°/ -30° / -22,5° / -15° / 0° / +15° /
+22,5° / +30° and +45°.
Tighten the locking screws (30) again to secure
the turntable (19).
Make the cut as described in point A (Fig. 23).
C. Miter cut 0°- 45° and turntable 0° (Fig. 1,17,24)
In crosscut and miter saw mode, it is possible to
complete miter cuts to the left and right at angles of 0°
- 45°.
Move the machine head (17) to its upper position.
Move the turntable (19) to the 0° position (see
also point B).
Release the angle adjustment lever (3) and tilt the
machine head to the left using the handle (16)
until the pointer (33) points to the required angle
on the scale (34).
The angle adjustment lever is fitted with a
free-wheel function. To actuate it, pull the
handle backwards (applying
counterpressure with your thumb on the
shaft) and turn it.
Tighten the angle adjustment lever against and
complete the cut as described in point A (Fig. 24).
