the strap and re-attach the closure. The hook and loop closures should be
located at the front (anterior side) of the torso for ease of use.
Setting external rotation on the 50A11N Omo Immobil Rotation
To mount the external rotation elements (29A222), remove the hook and
loop closure that connects the upper and forearm pads so that the forearm
pad can be pulled off the tube frame (Fig. 5). Remove the locking pins,
then pull off the forearm element and replace it with the desired external
rotation element (Fig. 6). External rotation can be set to 10°, 20° or 30°,
as desired. Fasten the tube frame using the locking pins and cover it with
the forearm pad. Reconnect the forearm and upper arm pads with the
hook and loop closure.

order to keep the patient's arm carefully and safely in place. The patient's
elbow should be angled.
1. Open the shoulder strap closure as well as the closures of the waist
belt and arm straps.
2. Position the orthosis under the arm, pull it up onto the torso and place the
shoulder strap diagonally over the contralateral (healthy) side (Fig. 8).
Position the shoulder pad (fastened to the shoulder strap) directly on
the patient's neck (trapezius muscle). Guide the strap through the nar-
row return loop on the torso component and fasten the hook and loop
closure (Fig. 8). The return loop is attached to the orthosis with a hook
and loop patch that allows the position of the loop to be adjusted for
individual adaptation to the patient.
3. Guide the waist belt through the return loop and close it (Fig. 9). The
height of the waist belt that is attached to the orthosis with a hook and
loop patch can be adjusted to the patient.
4. Correctly position the hand pad that is attached to the orthosis with a
hook and loop patch as well (Fig. 9). Next, close the forearm straps,
followed by the upper arm strap (Fig. 10). The direction for closing the
arm straps can be chosen as desired (from the inside to the outside
or from the outside to the inside). To ensure that the upper arm is held
firmly in place in the orthosis, the included additional strap may also
be used (Fig. 11).
