1. Application, scope of delivery
and accessories
Important notes!
This manual has been specifically compiled for
machine operators. Keep it near the machine for
future reference!
The power knife may only be operated
for the intended purpose, with due care as
regards safety, and if the equipment is in proper
working order
if all safety devices are properly mounted
according to the safety instructions in this
manual
after instruction of the operating personnel, who
must also have read and understood the
instructions in Chapter 2 "Safety instructions"
(page 2) and Chapter 3 "Commissioning and
operational safety" (page 3).
This is necessary in order to prevent incorrect
operation and to enable operators to assess
potential risks accurately.
Never reach into the operating
range of the knife, as there is a
risk of dismemberment!
Always wear goggles or other
effective eye protection!
When working with the knife,
always wear hearing protection!
1.1 Symbols used in this manual
Danger:
Proceed with extreme caution. In the
event of incorrect operation, there is a
risk of injury to operating staff and other
persons. There is also a risk of damage
to the machine.
Information:
This symbol highlights sections in the
text containing important information
and useful hints.

1.2 Proper use
The power knife described here is intended for use
in the meat, fish, fruit, vegetable and bakery
industries.
Any other use is prohibited.
The operator shall be solely liable for any damage
arising from improper use of the equipment.

2. Safety instructions
2.1 General safety instructions
When operating the power knife, always
adhere to the following safety instructions:
To change the blade or sharpen it, and for all
installation, maintenance and repair work, first
disconnect the machine from the compressed
air supply system!
Only personnel who have been properly trained
and instructed in the safe use of the power knife
may handle the tool.
