4. Installation of blade

Before carrying out any installation
work, disconnect the power blade
from the compressed air supply
line!
4.1 Blade change in the event of
wear
The blade may only be changed by
authorised specialist technicians.
To change the blade, wear
protective gloves.
Disconnect the power knife from
the compressed air line
(torque coupling).

Figure 11: Pull the shield (item 5) forward to remove it.
Figure 12: Secure the blade in a vice (equipped with
smooth plastic jaws) or a similar tool.
Figure 13: Pull the head piece from the blade.
CAUTION: The blade must be removable without
applying much force. If this is not possible, loosen
the securing screw further until the head piece can
be easily pulled from the blade.
Continue as follows: Install a new blade. For
instructions, see Chapter 3.2 "Mounting of blade
prior to commissioning" (page 4), Fig. 2 to Fig. 8.
Send the blade for sharpening to our service
department (see Chapter 6.4 "Sharpening the blade
/ grinding service" (page 8)) or replace it.
