Provisioning via the PBX

Note for COMfortel WS-500M: For a multi-cell system with more than
one base unit, you must configure the additional base stations manually
(page 31).
Carry out these steps:
• A base station must be configured on the PBX for the COMfortel WS-500S
or COMfortel WS-500M with the role "Integrator/DECT Manager".
– Requirements: You need to know the COMfortel WS-500S/500M's MAC
address (see label stuck on back of device).
– Perform configuration on the Subscriber (scr.) > COMfortel WS-500X
page in the Configuration Manager on the PBX
• For each mobile device, you must configure an internal telephone number
with the device type COMfortel M-5x0 on the PBX, and assign that number
to the base unit.
– Requirements: You need to know the mobile device's IPUI (for example,
scan in the packaging label or battery compartment)
– Perform configuration on the Subscriber (scr.) > Phone numbers page
in the Configuration Manager on the PBX

Setting up Manually

Carry out these steps:
• For each mobile device, you must configure an internal telephone number
with the device type COMfortel M-5x0 on the PBX.
– Perform configuration on the Subscriber (scr.) > Phone numbers page
in the Configuration Manager on the PBX
Note: You will find more information in the Instructions/help for the PBX.
• A PBX profile must be configured for the PBX in the DECT Manager.
– Requirements: You need to know the PBX's IP address
– Perform configuration on the Settings > Provider or PBX profiles page
in the Web configurator on the COMfortel WS-500S/WS-500M
– Necessary settings:
