Attention!
Make sure to secure the flexion angle of the lumbar braces, which can be adjusted using
the upper and lower screws, before the patient stands up.
5 Instructions for Use
• Do not apply the orthosis as long as redness, swelling or open wounds are present.
• Patients wearing the hip orthosis are advised to avoid strong sources of heat and electromag-
netic fields.
6 Care Instructions
The orthosis can be hand washed at 30 °C (86 °F) using a mild soap and a dampened cloth.
Wipe off with a dry cloth. Do not expose the orthosis to a direct source of heat for drying.

7 Maintenance

If the orthosis is used over an extended period of time, the screws and stops should be examined
on a regular basis and worn parts replaced.
8 Liability
The manufacturer's warranty applies only if the product has been used under the conditions
and for the purposes described. The manufacturer recommends that the product be used and
maintained according to the instructions for use.
9 CE conformity
Ottobock as manufacturer with sole responsibility declares that the Hip Orthosis conforms to
the requirements of the 93/42 EEC Guidelines.
