1 Application
The Ottobock Hip Orthosis is to be used solely for the orthotic fitting of the hip joint.
2 Indication and Effects
The orthosis stabilizes the hip after total hip prosthetic replacement or correction. The orthosis
provides stabilization of the hip by restricting rotation and limiting thigh movement. Specific in-
dications must be determined by the physician.
3 Size Selection
The hip orthosis consists of the following three main components: 28L50 Hip Module (fig. 1,
item 1), 28L51 Thigh Module (fig. 1, item 2) and 17H50 Hip Joint (fig. 1, item 3) which are indi-
vidually combined in accordance with the patient's measurements.
