DANGER! Determination and assessment of hazards in accordance with the
German Health and Safety at Work Act
D According to the German Health and Safety at Work Act, the employer must assess what haz
ards are present for those occupied in the work and what health and safety measures are neces
sary. Observe the information from the employers' liability insurance association for commercial
kitchens!
D The employer must specify and provide the personal protective equipment.
Connection, Conversion, Maintenance
D The device must only be connected by a gas installer.
D Any works at gas consumption devices in canteen kitchens such as
− conversion to a different gas type,
− inspections, maintenance works,
− fault rectification and
− initial start-up
must only be carried out by
− the gas supply company,
− a qualified representative of the manufacturer,
− a contracted installation company, or
− a different distribution agency authorized by a large-scale liquid gas distribution company.
D Prior to connection:
− inform the responsible gas supply company, and
− verify that the device's set gas type complies with the gas type at the installation location.
D Within the scope of the gas device's connection, conversion or maintenance, check:
− the exhaust gas extraction from the installation room,
− the fresh air supply at the burners,
− the leak tightness of all gas-bearing components (leakage spray),
− the combustion safety and quality,
− the lighting, safety and control devices.
D Observe the German DVGW-TRGI Gas technical regulations for gas installations: G 600
(DVGW-TRGI 1986, G 628, G 634, G 660, and technical regulations on liquid gas TRF).
D All installations must be carried out in accordance with the installation instructions of the
manufacturerand the acknowledged rules of technology.
D Protect the gas supply line against deleterious heating!
D Any installation of non-factory or non-type burner components as well as of so-called gas-
savers is impermissible.
D Connect the appliance to the equipotential bonding system.
