2) Recording Quality Selection
® This function is only available in voice folders.
(1) With the Voice Tracer in Stop
mode, press the STOP/MENU
button for a few moments (Fig-
ure 13-1).
(2) Press the NEXT button briefly
and then press the PLAY button
(Figure 14-1).
(3) "REC" is shown and "SUPER
HQ" blinks on the display (fig-
ure 14-2).
(4) Press the NEXT button to se-
lect the desired recording qual-
ity (Figure 14-3, 4, 5, 6).
(5) Press the PLAY button to save your setting and then the STOP/
MENU button to exit Menu mode.
3) Microphone Recording Sensitivity
® This function is only available in voice folders.
(1) With the Voice Tracer in Stop mode, press the STOP/
MENU button for a few moments (Figure 13-1).
(2) Press the NEXT button 2 times (Figure 15-1).
(3) Press the PLAY button briefly.
(4) "SENSE" is shown and "HI" blinks on the
display (Figure 15-2).
(5) Press the NEXT button to select the desired
microphone recording sensitivity (Figure
15-3, 2).

(6) Press the PLAY button to save your setting and then the STOP/
MENU button to exit Menu mode.
4) Beep Setting
(1) With the Voice Tracer in Stop mode, press
the STOP/MENU button for a few moments
(Figure 13-1).
(2) Press the NEXT button briefly 3 times (Fig-
ure 16-1).
(3) Press the PLAY button briefly.
(4) "BEEP" is shown and "On" blinks on the
display (Figure 16-2).
(5) Press the NEXT button to select "OF" (off) or "On"
(Figure 16-3).
(6) Press the PLAY button to save your setting and then the
STOP/MENU button to exit Menu mode.
5) VA Mode: Enabling Voice Activated Recording
® This function is only available in voice fold-
ers.
(1) With the Voice Tracer in Stop mode, press
the STOP/MENU button for a few moments
(Figure 13-1).
(2) Press the NEXT button briefly 4 times (Fig-
ure 17-1).
(3) Press the PLAY button briefly.
(4) "VA" is shown and "OF" blinks on the display (Figure
17-2).
(5) Press the NEXT button to select "OF" (off) or "ON"
(Figure 17-3).
