Overview - Installation versions
The housing of the Doorguard hardwired version comprises an operating and alarm signalling device. They can be
installed together or separately (e.g. operating unit next to the door, alarm signalling device above the door). To
open the housing cover, loosen the housing screws at the top and bottom.
The enclosed junction must be inserted between
the housing bases to ensure the correct distance
between both housings.
In the event of remote installation, a cable duct can
be used to connect both housing sections.
A connection line must be laid between the
operating unit and the alarm signalling device and
connected accordingly. Four wires are required for
alarm signalling and two further wires for tamper
monitoring (see connection diagram).

AVOID INJURY TO EYES!
The device is equipped with LEDs Class 1M (EN
60825-1).
Do not look directly into the light beam of the flashing
LEDs - danger to eyes. Do not use tightly converging
instruments (lenses) for observing the light beam. Only
use the alarm signalling device together with the
housing cover (glare and diffusor protection).
2.1.1
Tear-off contact
Screw the tear-off contact (eye with lead) directly to the
mounting surface using the enclosed screw and spacer
sleeve. Dowels may be necessary, depending on the mounting surface.
2.1.2
Pull relief
Use a cable binder to attach the connecting cables to the pull relief.
