Mounting and Operating Instructions Doorguard hardwired version
5.3
BUS connection
The BUS connecting cable must be a shielded, twisted pair lead with wires routed as follows:
Recommended type of cable:
Shielded telephone cable JY(St)Y with a lead diameter of 0.6 mm or 0.8 mm.
5.4
Connection to alarm signalling device
The alarm signalling device is connected via a wired connection (see Chapter 7.1). Four wires are required for the
alarm signalling device and two further wires for tamper monitoring.
5.5
Shielding
A support terminal for the "Shield" of the cable can be used by one of the 2 terminals for free connection (see
connection diagram) in case several Doorguard hardwired version devices and a disable and display module are
installed. In this case, the cable shields of both BUS connecting cables can be connected to one another at one of
the connection terminals.
When using the terminal ensure that the shield connection is as short as possible so that there is no risk of an
unintentional short circuit (if necessary use an insulated flexible tube for the cable shield tracer wire).
Route wires between Doorguard hardwired
version devices as shown in the diagram.
Route wires between the Doorguard
hardwired version device and the 16 DG
disable and display module (Item no.
012542.17) or 16 DG display module (Item
no. 012548.17) as shown in the diagram.
