Calibration interval/Battery Replacement

7.1 Calibration interval

We suggest a calibration interval of one year. If the instrument is used very often or if it is used
under rough conditions we recommend shorter intervals. If the instrument is only
occasionally used the calibration interval can be extended to 3 years.
The instruments are calibrated according to PTB standard using a standard illuminant lamp at
2856 K color temperature.

7.2 Battery Replacement

Proceed with the battery replacement when the symbol "BT" is displayed. In case of dischar-
ged battery, the displayed values may be inaccurate. Always remove used battery.
Open the battery case located on the instrument rear. Replace the used battery and close the
battery case.
Please think of our environment when you dispose of your used batteries. They belong in a
rubbish dump or a refuse collection place for hazardous waste.
Please, comply with the appropriate regulations concerning the return, recycling and dis-
posal of used batteries and accumulators.
Note: To avoid any battery leakage, always remove the battery if the instrument remains unu-
sed over a longer period of time. However, should there be any contamination due to
leaking batteries, please return the instrument to our factory for cleaning and repair.
