– Installation situation

For duct lengths of 40 to 75 cm. The exhaust gas shaft must
be installed at a minimum height of 33 cm.
– Installation situation
For duct lengths greater than 75 to 120 cm. The exhaust
gas shaft must be installed at a minimum height of 66 cm.
If necessary, make allowance for space for mounting a double
duct support (26) (Figure C1).

– Notes on the roof cowl

Fire hazard from overheating and/or danger of suffocation
from exhaust fumes if installed incorrectly or if parts other
than original Truma parts are used for the exhaust gas system.
– Use only original Truma parts for the exhaust gas system.
– Follow the installation instructions when installing the ex-
haust gas system.
The following Truma original parts are essential for in-
stallation with a roof cowl:
Roof cowl kit
AKD
– Roof cowl
AK 3
– Air intake duct
Exhaust duct
AE 3
Duct (insulating duct)
ÜR
Clamp
ÜS
Double duct support
The heater is only tested and approved with these original
Truma parts.
– The location of the roof cowl must be chosen so that it is in
the air flow at all times during heater operation. Roof struc-
tures may interfere with the function of the heater.
– The roof cowl must always be installed vertically or with a
maximum incline of 15 degrees!
– Position the roof cowl so that a duct can be directly routed
from the heater to the cowl ascending along its entire
length (max. 300 cm). A height of at least 100 cm must be
reached after a duct length of 150 cm (see Figure D3).
An open roof window / lifting roof in the vicinity of
the roof cowl may allow exhaust gas to penetrate the
interior of the vehicle. The cowl must therefore never be po-
sitioned near this opening. If this is not completely possible,
the heater must not be used when the roof window / lifting
roof is open. In order to make this clear, the installer must
also affix a sticker (part no. 30090-37100) to the roof win-
dow / lifting roof in a clearly visible location.
– The air intake duct (only where the exhaust gas system is
via the roof) for the combustion air must not be subjected
to wheel spray. Fit a splash guard if necessary!
If the heater goes out regularly while driving, the cowl
tops T-2 and T-3 are available in order to influence the
flow conditions. Test runs must be carried out if necessary.
A cowl extension AKV must also be installed if necessary.
This must be secured with a screw.
5. Installation with or without warm air
distribution
In order to achieve even and quick warm air distribution
and to reduce the surface temperatures at the warm air
outlet grille, we recommend installing warm air distribution.

Fire hazard or risk of malfunction if installed incorrectly
or if parts other than original Truma parts are used for
the warm air distribution.
– Use only original Truma parts for the warm air distribu-
tion. The heater is only tested and approved with these
components.
– Follow the installation instructions when installing the
warm air distribution.
The warm air distribution for the heater is designed individu-
ally for each vehicle type using the modular design principle.
A wide range of accessories is available from Truma for this
purpose.

The Truma fans are available as accessories for the heat-
er – operating an installation instructions are enclosed
with the fan.
The Truma fans can be installed on the rear of the Truma in-
stallation box "installation box S 2200" (see Figure A1).
Alternatively, the Truma fans can be directly attached to the
rear wall RWS / RWSL with a heat conducting plate, sepa-
rate from the heater on the vehicle floor or to the wall of the
vehicle.
The air intake nozzle DT and the duct I 80 (Ø 85 mm) are re-
quired for floor / wall mounting (see Figure F / E2).
If a water supply is being installed in the vehicle, it must
be ensured that sufficient room is left between the water
hoses and the heat source (e.g. heater, warm air duct).
A water hose may only be routed at a distance of 1.5 m from
the heater at the warm air duct. With lead-through, a spacer
(e.g. insulation) must be fitted in order to avoid contact. The
Truma hose clip SC can be used for distances greater than
1.5 m.
