Mounting the roof cowl

Possible risk of injury from sharp edges on the ex-
haust / air intake duct. Wear protective gloves during
installation.

Combustion air intake installation

Possible risk of cut injuries from sharp edges on the air
intake duct. Wear protective gloves during installation.
1. Undo the two screws (1) on top of the heater and remove
the cover (Figure D1).

Before installing the heater, fit the air intake duct for the com-
bustion air intake to the lower heater connection as follows:
Slide the air intake duct (18) with cut edge through the hole (19)
in the heater pedestal from below. Slide the sealing plate (4) onto
the duct by about 3 cm (claw points towards the heater connec-
tion). Carefully guide the O-ring (5) over the cut edge of the
duct by expanding it and insert the air intake duct (18) into the
lower heater connection (9) as far as it will go. Slide sealing
plate with O-ring in as far as it will go and secure by rotating
it. Tighten securely with screw (6).
A new O-ring (5) must be fitted after every removal.
3. Place heater in floor opening.

Installing the roof cowl

The roof cowl must always be installed vertically or with a
maximum incline of 15 degrees!

Position roof cowl such that a duct can be directly routed
from the heater to the cowl ascending along its entire length
(max. 300 cm). A height of at least 100 cm must be reached
after a duct length of 150 cm.

Cut Ø 60 mm + 1 mm opening. Distance between centre of
opening and side walls must be at least 55 mm. If the roof
has a double layer, line cavity with suitable heat-resistant ma-
terial (21) to stiffen roof so that it is not deformed when the
screws are tightened and remains watertight.
2. Insert cowl through roof from above and tighten from inside
with screwing ring (22). Secure screwing ring with screw (23).
The pipe is sealed by the provided rubber seal – no additional
sealing required.

Exhaust duct mounting

Possible risk of cut injuries from sharp edges on the ex-
haust duct. Wear protective gloves during installation.

Slide flow control plate (20) into upper heater connection (3)
as far as it will go.
2. Connect exhaust duct (2) to top heater connection (3) as fol-
lows: Slide sealing plate (4) onto exhaust duct by about 3 cm
(claw points towards heater connection). Carefully guide O-ring
(5) over cut edge of duct by expanding it and insert exhaust
duct into upper heater connection as far as it will go. Slide on
sealing plate with O-ring and secure by rotating it. Tighten se-
curely with screw (6).
A new O-ring (5) must be fitted after every removal.
3. Slide the insulating duct (duct ÜR – 7) onto the exhaust
duct (must extend from cowl to cover).

Route ducts upwards against the wall with as little bending as
possible. Slide the exhaust duct (2) into the cowl as far as it
will go and secure it with the self-tapping screw (24).
The exhaust duct (2) with insulating duct (duct ÜR – 7)
must be ascending along its entire length and securely
and permanently installed using several clamps (25), other-
wise a water pocket may form that will prevent the exhaust
gas from exiting freely.

Attaching the heater

Secure heater to floor of vehicle with the 4 provided self-
tapping screws (28) through the heater pedestal. Fit heater
casing (with rear wall if necessary) (break out breakthroughs
for ducts in cover or rear wall). Tighten screws (1).

Gas connection

The 30 mbar operating pressure of the gas supply must
correspond to the appliance's operating pressure (see
type plate).
The Ø 8 mm gas supply duct must be attached to the connec-
tor with an olive screw connection. Carefully counterhold with
another wrench when tightening.
The gas connection on the appliance may not be short-
ened or bent.
Before connecting to the appliance, please ensure that the
gas lines are free of dirt, shavings and the like!
The pipes must be installed in such a way that the appliance
can be removed again for service work.
The number of separation points in the gas supply line in
rooms used by persons must be limited to the technical
minimum.
The gas system must comply with the technical and admin-
istrative regulations of the respective country of use (e.g.
EN 1949 for vehicles in Europe).
The national legislation and regulations (e.g. DVGW Work
Sheet G 607 for vehicles in Germany) must be observed.

Function check

Possible injury / material damage if the heater is operated
without a cover. Operate the heater only with the cover
fitted.
Following installation, the gas system must be checked for
leaks in the first inspection by using the pressure drop meth-
od in accordance with EN 1949.
Then check all appliance functions as described in the operat-
ing instructions.
The operating instructions must be handed over to the vehicle
owner.

Warnings

The installer or vehicle owner must affix the supplied yellow
sticker with the warning information in a location in the vehi-
cle and close to the heater where it is clearly visible to all us-
ers. Missing stickers can be requested from Truma.
