Preliminary work

The dimensions for distances, openings and drill holes must
be precisely adhered to!

Installation with "installation box S 2200"

1. Cut out front part of cabinet 440 mm high and 480 mm
wide. Temporarily insert installation box into cabinet cut-out.
2. Insert floor template into installation box in such a way
that it is exactly in the corners at the rear (L = left exhaust
duct connection, R = right exhaust duct connection). Secure
template with drawing pins. Remove installation box.
3. Drill Ø 15 mm floor opening for condensation trap as per
template and pre-punch the 4 points for the fastening screws.
4. For roof cowl only: Drill Ø 65 mm hole for the combus-
tion air intake duct.
5. Re-insert installation box and screw in place. Break out pre-
punched opening for leading through the exhaust gas system
at the left (1) or the right (2) (see Figure A1).

Free-standing installation in the room

1. Put floor template in the chosen location, Secure template
with drawing pins.
2. Drill Ø 15 mm floor opening for condensation trap as per
template and pre-punch the 4 points for the fastening screws.
3. For roof cowl only: Drill Ø 65 mm hole for the combus-
tion air intake duct.

Wall cowl installation

Possible risk of injury from sharp edges on the exhaust
/ combustion air duct. Wear protective gloves during
installation.

Drill holes for wall cowl

Ensure that the prescribed minimum height (= distance
between heating pedestal and centre of exhaust gas
shaft hole) is adhered to exactly (Figure C1).
Adhere exactly to the spacing of 11.5 cm between the
centre points of the drill holes!
– Installation situation
For duct lengths of 40 to 75 cm. The exhaust gas shaft must
be installed at a minimum height of 33 cm (between the heat-
ing pedestal and the centre of the exhaust gas shaft hole). To
do this, put wall template on the floor..
– Installation situation
For duct lengths greater than 75 to 120 cm. The exhaust
gas shaft must be installed at a minimum height of 66 cm
(between the heating pedestal and the centre of the exhaust
gas shaft hole).
Make both drill holes Ø 79 mm according to the installation
situation
or
. If necessary, line cavities in the vicinity of
the drilled holes with wood. Pre-punch the holes for the wall
screws (15 – 3.5 x 13). In the same way, pre-punch the holes
for the fastening screws (16 – 3.5 x 25) of the cowl grille (14).

Duct connection to the heater

1. Undo the two screws (1) on top of the heater and remove
the cover (Figure C1).
2. Connect the exhaust duct (2) to the top heater connection (3)
as follows (Figure C2): Slide the sealing plate (4) onto the exhaust
duct by about 3 cm (claw points towards the heater). Carefully
guide the O-ring (5) over the cut edge of the duct by expanding
it and insert the exhaust duct into the heater connection (3) as
far as it will go. Slide sealing plate with O-ring in as far as it will
go and secure by rotating it. Tighten securely with screw (6).
A new O-ring (5) must be fitted after every removal.
3. Slide the insulating duct (duct ÜR – 7) onto the exhaust
duct (must extend from the exhaust gas shaft to the cover).
4. Connect the combustion air duct (8) to the bottom heater
connection (9) in the same way as the exhaust duct (2).
The exhaust duct with insulating duct (duct ÜR) and the
combustion air duct must be laid rising along their en-
tire length.
A double duct support (26) must be fitted in the case of an
exhaust gas system through the side wall or the installation
situation
(Figure C1). If necessary, this can be shortened by
cutting or bending. Otherwise a water pocket can form that
will prevent the exhaust from exiting freely.

Duct connection to the wall cowl

Possible risk of injury from sharp edges on the exhaust
/ combustion air duct. Wear protective gloves during
installation.

Put the heater in its intended location, route the ducts to the
holes in the outer wall and determine the necessary duct
lengths (shorten if necessary). Insert the ducts through the
holes and slide the heater to the wall in such a way that all
ducts protrude out of the wall by about 4 cm.
The exhaust duct (2) with insulating duct (duct ÜR – 7)
must be installed above the combustion air duct (8).
Slide sealing rings (10) about 3 cm onto the ducts. Guide the
O-rings (5) over the cut edges of the ducts by expanding them
and slide the ducts (2) and (8) into the shafts (11 + 12) as far
as they will go (the connectors must be pointing downwards).
Slide sealing rings and O-rings on as far as possible and se-
cure with 2 screws (13) each.
A new O-ring (5) must be fitted after every removal.

Secure the wall cowl

Possible risk of injury from sharp edges on the exhaust /
combustion air duct. Wear protective gloves during
installation.

Coat sealing surface of exhaust gas shaft (11) with plastic
body sealant (not silicone!) and slide into the upper hole (con-
nector must point downwards). Secure exhaust gas shaft (11)
with 4 screws (15).
Secure air intake shaft for combustion air (12) into the lower
hole in the same way.
Fit cowl grille (14) and secure to wall with screws (16 – B3.5 x 25).
When doing this, the cowl grille should be touching the top of the
exhaust gas shaft (11) and routed through the vertical slits in the
air intake shaft (12) at the side.
If the heater is not operating, the cowl grille (14) can be
covered with the cowl cover (17 – accessories) in order
to prevent penetration by water, for example when the cara-
van is being washed or if there is a storm.
