Using the refrigerator

Note
Before using the appliance for the first time, clean it inside and out
with a damp cloth for hygienic reasons (see also chapter „Cleaning
and maintenance" on page 47).
Caution!
Food may only be stored in its original packaging or in suitable con-
tainers.

Energy saving tips

Choose a well ventilated installation location which is protected from di-
rect sunlight.
Allow hot food to cool down first before you place it into the device.
Do not open the refrigerator more often than necessary.
Do not leave the door open for longer than necessary.
Arrange the food in the refrigerator so that air can circulate inside.
9.2 Using the refrigerator
Note
The cooling performance can be affected by:
– The ambient temperature
– The amount of food to be conserved
– How often you open the door
Note!
Only put items in the refrigerator which can be kept at the selected
temperature.
Note!
Make sure food and liquids in glass bottles and jars are not cooled
excessively. Drinks and liquid food expand when frozen. This can
break the glass containers.
