2.1. Preparation of the seat / Expansion of the fi ve-point belt system (G) of the seat

Push the seat part (ST) in the furthest reclined position (lying position) by pressing the
positioning handle (PG), which is under the central adjusting belt (G5).

Release the safety bar (SR) of the safety bolt (SB) at the top of the back of the base (BT) and
pull out the safety bolt (SB) sideways from the base holes (BL). Now the seat part (ST)
is unlocked and will be clapped forward.

• Release the belt ends of the harness belt (G2) on the back of the seat part (ST) from
the belt anchor (R) and pull out the two ends of the belts through the shoulder belt
guide (G1).
• Then unhook the shoulder belt pad (SG) out of the connecting hook (VH).
• To remove the crotch strap push the belt together with the metal plate from the
bottom to the top out of the seat part. Place the central adjusting belt (G5) below
the positioning cover (F).

• Now clap back the seat part (ST) and put the safety bolt (SB) sideways into the base
holes (BL). Finally lock the safety bar (SR) of the safety bolt (SB) at the top of the back
of the base (BT).

CAUTION:
the safety bolt (SB) has to lock the seat part (ST) completely again with the base (BT).
2.2. Installation / Fixing with ISOFIX (WITHOUT Top Tether)
The seat can be used on all passenger and rear seats of the car which are equipped
with a three-point belt. But the seat must not be used on the rear center seat only with
a lap belt!
CAUTION:
To use the

as Group II seat, the Top Tether (TT) must NOT be used!

Because by securing the child with the three-point belt, especially in a frontal crash, it is
advantageous if the seat can move forward a little. This prevents the child from slipping
off the seat and the lap belt cannot get into the abdominal area. You can fasten the
seat with ISOFIX (I), to prevent slipping of the seat. Therefore please read the section 1.3.

Depending on the size of your child now run the shoulder belt of the car through the
appropriate belt guide slot G II (Fig. 34) or GIII (Fig. 35). To ensure optimum belt run,
the shoulder belt should run in the middle of the shoulder.

Now run the lap belt (W) with buckle tongue (V) through the belt guide hole (J) and
click the buckle tongue (V) from three-point belt of the car into the three-point belt
buckle with an audible << click >> .
Please make sure that the belt is not twisted!
