3. OPERATING DETERMINATIONS

The MIDI controller TMC-1 MK2 serves to control DJ software and is supplied with the software Virtual
DJ 7 LE on CD-ROM. The software simulates a dual audio player with corresponding 2-channel mixer and
features many functions that precisely meet the requirements of DJs. The controller is compatible to both PC
and Mac.
The software supports all standard audio formats (including MP3, Wave, CDA, WMA, Ogg Vorbis, AAC and
Flac) as well as karaoke formats (MP3+G, WAV+G, WMA+G, OGG+G) and ZIP files. Furthermore, video
clips (including DVD, DivX, AVI, FLV, MOV, MPEG formats) can be mixed. Documentation for the software
be downloaded under http://www.virtualdj.com or http://www.omnitronic.com. The controller uses the MIDI
data control and can therefore also be used for other MIDI controlled audio software.
The controller is supplied with power via the USB connection of the computer. However, if the connection
should not supply sufficient power, the supplied power unit can be used. The controller is allowed to be
operated with a direct current of 5 V, 500 mA (USB connection) or 1000 mA (supplied power unit) and was
designed for indoor use only. The power unit falls under protection-class 2 and the TMC-1 MK2 under
protection-class 3.
Do not shake the device. Avoid brute force when installing or operating the device. When choosing the
installation spot, please make sure that the device is not exposed to extreme heat, moisture or dust. There
should not be any cables lying around. You endanger your own and the safety of others! The ambient
temperature must always be between 0° C and +40° C. The relative humidity must not exceed 50 % with an
ambient temperature of 40° C. This device must only be operated in an altitude between -20 and 2000 m
over NN.
Operate the device only after having familiarized with its functions. Do not permit operation by persons not
qualified for operating the device. Most damages are the result of unprofessional operation!
Never use solvents or aggressive detergents in order to clean the device! Rather use a soft and damp cloth.
Please use the original packaging if the device is to be transported.
Never remove the serial barcode from the device as this would make the guarantee void.
If this device will be operated in any way different to the one described in this manual, the product may suffer
damages and the guarantee becomes void. Furthermore, any other operation may lead to dangers like short-
circuit, burns, electric shock, etc.
