Work environment / Safety
Before putting into operation, check power supply cord (13) and connector as well as extension
cable for electrical and mechanical damages.
The extrusion welder must not be used in areas where there is danger of explosion or fl ammable
materials. Ensure a safe posture during work. The power cable and fi ller rod must be free to move
and must not obstruct the user or third parties during work.
Place extrusion welder on a fi re resistant base. Hot metal parts and hot streams of air must be
kept at a safe distance from the base and walls.

Loosen clamp by turning

the guide handle (6) anti-
clockwise
Move the guide handle (6)

into the desired operating
position.
Tighten clamp again by turning

guide handle (6) clockwise
When not welding, the drive should be switched off with the drive on/off
switch (2).
Place the extrusion welder with correspondingly set and fi rmly tightened
guide handle (6) on a stable, fi reproof base or buff er bolt (32) as shown
in the illustration.

Removing the handle
Turn the handle (6) anticlockwise to loosen the clamp.

Press on the handle (6) and the gripper clamp (20) to open the lock

(see arrows). Remove the handle (6) using the gripper clamp (20).
To fi t the handle, follow the steps in reverse order.
