"Preview" to show the present camera picture. It
is possible to define if the camera signal is to be
recorded continuously (Continuous) and at the
full picture frequency or at one picture only per
second. Likewise it is possible to define if the
camera sound is to be recorded as well (Record
audio). Detailed settings for the recording can
later be made (

6) Click the button "Add". The camera is now regis-
tered at the recorder and appears at the top on
the page in the list with its channel number,
channel name, IP address, the selected com-
pression procedure and the resolution.

To change the settings, select the camera in the
list and click the button "Edit". A camera can also
directly be activated by clicking its IP address in
the list (in an individual IE window). Thus, addi-
tional camera settings are possible (e. g. defin-
ing the areas for motion detection or masking).
To log off a selected camera, click the button
"Remove".

ally and continue as described from step 3.

4.7 Adjusting date and time

1) Call the page "NVR Setup ± System Configura-
tion ± Time and Date Setting" in the recorder set-
tings.

2) Select the time zone under "Time Zone" and
activate "Summer time", if appropriate.
3) Select if date and time are to be adjusted manu-
ally (Manual) or be synchronized with an NTP
server (Network Time Protocol) or with the PC.
4) For the selected option make the corresponding
settings and click the button "Apply/ Sync".

4.8 Formatting the hard disk

To use an additionally integrated hard disk or a
storage medium (e. g. external hard disk or flash
memory) connected to one of the two USB ports (4,
7) for the recording, format them first in the format
of the recorder. (It is possible to record on a storage
medium of FAT-32 format, however, then the
capacity or remaining time is not correctly shown.)
Formatting will delete all data on the storage
medium.
1) Call the page "NVR Setup ± System Configura-
tion ± Disk Setup" in the recorder settings.

2) Click the button "Format" in the line of the stor-
age medium to be formatted.
(Also the storage media connected to the USB
ports are named "Internal".)
