4.9 Recording settings

Different recording specifications can be adjusted
for each camera. A recording can be controlled by
a schedule or be made continuously. It can also be
triggered by an event (e. g. by a movement
detected by a camera or a signal at the alarm input
of the camera VNC-1044) or manually. Combina-
tions are also possible, e. g. continuous recording
with 1 picture / sec but within the schedule at full pic-
ture frequency or the full picture frequency only in
case of motion detection.
For the adjustment of the recording specifications:
1) Call the page "NVR Setup ± Recording Configu-
ration ± General Settings" in the recorder adjust-
ments.
2) Under "Recording Buffer" select the number of
seconds to be recorded before (Pre) and after
(Post) the triggering event.
3) Under "Recording Frame Rate" select for each
channel and the four recording modes: continu-
ous recording, schedule, event and manual, if
the full picture frequency (Full) is to be used or if
1 picture / sec (1 Only) is sufficient for recording.
4) Under "Keep Video" adjust a minimum number
of days for which the recordings are kept and not
overwritten.
5) Under "Camera Recording Setting" define the
mode of recording for each camera: continuous,
schedule or event. The configuration for the
event-controlled recording is made via the
pages "NVR Setup ± Event Configuration ...".
6) Under "Record Audio" define which camera sig-
nal is to be recorded with sound.
7) Click "Apply" to confirm the settings or cancel
them with "Cancel".

4.9.1 Creating a recording schedule

1) Call the page "NVR Setup ± Recording Configu-
ration ± Schedule Recording Settings" in the
recorder settings.
2) In the list field "Channel:" select the camera for
which a recording schedule is to be made.
3) Under "Quick Configuration" select a recording
time to be added to the schedule and click the
button "Add".
Repeat the procedure several times, if
required, until the schedule is complete.
4) By clicking the schedule it is possible to add or
remove individual 15-minute blocks of recording
time.
Via the button "Clear" all entries can be
removed from the schedule.
5) To apply this schedule also to another camera,
select this camera in the field "Copy Schedule to
Channel:".
6) To store the schedule, click the button "Apply" or
the button "Copy Schedule To All Channels" if
the schedule is to apply to all cameras. The but-
ton "Cancel" cancels the changes made.
