1.1 Frontseite
1 Klangregler BASS und TREBLE jeweils für die
Ausgänge CH 1 – 4

PROTECT leuchtet bei aktivierter Schutzschal-
tung (die Verbindung zu den Lautsprechern ist
getrennt):
1. nach dem Einschalten für kurze Zeit
2. bei Überlastung/ Überhitzung (auch z. B. durch
Kurzschluss am Ausgang)
CLIP leuchtet, wenn der Signalpegel zu hoch ist,
so dass der Verstärkerkanal übersteuert wird
SIGNAL leuchtet, wenn ein Eingangssignal am
Verstärkerkanal vorhanden ist
READY leuchtet, wenn die LED PROTECT erlo-

1 Operating Elements
and Connections
1.1 Front side
1 Tone controls BASS and TREBLE for the outputs
CH 1 to CH 4 each
2 Status LEDs for the outputs CH 1 to CH 4 each
PROTECT lights up with activated protection
circuit (the connection to the speakers is sepa-
rated):
1. after switching-on for a short time
2. in case of overload / overheating (e. g. also
caused by short circuit at the output)
CLIP lights up when the signal level is too high so
that the amplifier channel is overloaded
SIGNAL lights up when an input signal is avail-
able at the amplifier channel
READY lights up when the LED PROTECT is
extinguished and the amplifier channel is ready
for operation
3 Volume controls for the inputs AUX 1 and AUX 2
each
4 Volume controls for INPUT 1 to INPUT 4 each

zum Anschluss von 2 (Stereo-)Geräten mit Line-

14 Anschlüsse INPUT 1 PRIORITY
Sind diese Kontakte (z. B. über einen Schalter
oder eine Drahtbrücke) miteinander verbunden,
werden die Eingänge INPUT 2 – 4 und AUX 1/ 2
ausgeblendet, so lange ein Signal am Eingang
INPUT 1 anliegt (Talkover).
15 Schraubanschlüsse* für die Eingänge 1 – 4, alter-
nativ zu den Kombibuchsen (13)
16 Anschlüsse für 25-V-, 70-V- oder 100-V-Laut -
sprecher jeweils für die Ausgänge CH 1 – 4
17 Anschlüsse für Niederohmlautsprecher jeweils
für die Ausgänge CH 1 – 4
(Impedanz min. 4 Ω oder 8 Ω)
* Der Klemmenblock lässt sich zur besseren Hand habung
vom Gerät abziehen.
8 Switch CHIME
Press it down for hearing a chime (at the begin-
ning of an announcement) when a momentary
pushbutton connected to the contacts CHIME
PRIORITY (22) has been pressed.
Adjust the volume of the chime with the control
CHIME.
9 Switch SIREN to switch the alarm siren on and
off. Adjust the volume of the siren with the control
SIREN.
1.2 Rear side
10 Jumper: to be removed for inserting an audio unit
for signal processing into the amplifier
11 Jacks AMP IN and PRE OUT for inserting an
audio unit for signal processing
12 Input jacks (phono jacks) AUX 1 and AUX 2 for
connection of 2 (stereo) units with line output level
13 Combined jacks (XLR / 6.3 mm jack, balanced)
for INPUT 1 to INPUT 4 for connection of micro-
phones or units with line output level; switchable
with the DIP switches No. 1 (26)
14 Connections INPUT 1 PRIORITY
If these contacts are connected with each other
(e. g. via a switch or a jumper), INPUT 2 to
INPUT 4 and AUX 1/ 2 are muted as long as a
signal is present at INPUT 1 (talkover).
15 Screw terminals* for inputs 1 to 4, as an alterna-
tive to the combined jacks (13)
16 Terminals for 25 V, 70 V or 100 V speakers, for
the outputs CH 1 to CH 4 each
17 Terminals for the low impedance speakers, for
the outputs CH 1 to CH 4 each
(minimum impedance 4 Ω or 8 Ω)
* The terminal block can be removed from the unit for
better handling.
18 Schutzabdeckung jeweils an den Lautsprecher-
klemmen
WARNUNG Den Verstärker nie ohne die Ab -
deckungen betreiben. Anderen-
falls besteht bei Berührung der
Anschlüsse die Gefahr eines elek-
trischen Schlages.
19 Netzbuchse zum Anschluss an eine Steckdose
(230 V~/50 Hz) über das beiliegende Netzkabel
20 Masseanschluss, kann z. B. bei Brummproble-
men verwendet werden
21 Halterung für die Netzsicherung
Eine geschmolzene Sicherung nur durch eine
gleichen Typs ersetzen.
22 Schraubanschlüsse* CHIME PRIORITY
Wird ein hier angeschlossener Taster oder
Schalter geschlossen, werden die Eingänge
INPUT 2 – 4 und AUX 1/ 2 stummgeschaltet. Bei
hineingedrücktem Schalter CHIME (8) ertönt
zusätzlich ein Gong.
23 Schraubanschlüsse* für einen separaten Schal-
ter zum Aktivieren der Alarmsirene
24 Schraubanschlüsse* für ein Telefonsignal, das
über die ELA-Anlage zu hören sein soll
25 Regler GAIN für die Eingangsverstärkung des
Telefonsignals an den Anschlüssen TEL. PAG -
ING (24)
26 DIP-Schalter für die Eingänge 1 – 4 (13, 15);
Funktionen in der Position ON:
Nr. 1 = Mikrofonpegel für den Eingang
Nr. 2 = Signal um 180° in der Phase gedreht
Nr. 3 = Hochpassfilter ein
Nr. 4 = 48-V-Phantomspeisung ein (nicht für die
Klinkenbuchsen)
18 Protection cover, at the speaker terminals each
WARNING
Never use the amplifier without
covers. Otherwise there is an
electric shock hazard when touch-
ing the connections.
19 Mains jack for connection to a socket (230 V~ /
50 Hz) via the supplied mains cable
20 Ground connection, can e. g. be used for hum
problems
21 Support for the mains fuse
Only replace a blown fuse by one of the same
type.
22 Screw terminals* CHIME PRIORITY
If a switch or momentary pushbutton connected
here is closed, INPUT 2 to INPUT 4 and AUX 1/ 2
are muted. With the switch CHIME (8) pressed
down, a chime sounds additionally.
23 Screw terminals* for a separate switch to acti-
vate the alarm siren
24 Screw terminals* for a telephone signal to be
heard via the PA system
25 Control GAIN for the input amplification of the tele-
phone signal at the connections TEL. PAGING
