Do not overestimate your technical knowledge. All assembly and maintenance work
should be performed by a specialist workshop for bicycles, especially if you are not in
possession of the special tools required. Any assembly and maintenance work which has
not be carried out in a professional way involves the loss of the warranty rights!
Use only genuine STORCK components when performing assembly and maintenance
work.
The use of other than original parts involves the loss of the warranty rights!
NEVER combine the Powerarms SL parts with bottom bracket components of other
manufacturers.
Reading and observing these assembly and maintenance instructions will protect your
own health and ensure a long service life of your STORCK components.
Always keep your bicycle in a faultless technical state. Care and maintenance will pro-
long the service life of your bicycle and its components and improve your personal safety.
All materials used for the STORCK components comply with highest industrial standards
and stand for best quality. However, the permanent load these materials have to with-
standcan create cracks as a result of fatigue which in turn can result in breakage of the
respective components and cause serious accidents. It is therefore essential to periodical-
ly check the components for cracks and to replace any affected component immediately.
Before each travel you should check that the surfaces of your STORCK components are
absolutely faultless. Send in your STORCK components to us for inspection if the
painting shows deep scrapes extending to the carbon structure, if the painting is abraded
over a large area or if yellow wear indicating coat is visible!
After a serious crash you should no longer use your bicycle. In any such case send in your
STORCK components to your retailer for inspection even if no external damage is visible.
In your own interest you should deal in the same way with all components on your bike
which are produced by other manufacturers!
If you should have a suspicion that your bicycle could be defective or not function in a
proper way, you should no longer use it and contact a specialist workshop for bicycles
immediately.
It is essential to read and observe all assembly and maintenance instructions, including
those given in the manual of other manufacturers whose products are used on your
bicycle.
Never use a high-pressure cleaner to clean your bicycle. The seals of your bicycle com-
ponents would not withstand that pressure. Corrosion and material damage would be the
consequence.
To clean your STORCK components use only water and current cleansing agents for
varnish. Never use aggressive solvents (such as thinner, Aceton, Nitro etc.). Alcohol and
benzine may be used carefully. Strong rubbing and long periods of reaction should
however be avoided.
The following maintenance steps should be performed at shorter intervals if the bicycle
is used in extreme conditions (rain, dirty or difficult terrain etc.).
