Always remember that driving a bicycle involves a danger for the driver, but also for the
bicycle and its components. Even if all protective equipment and safety devices are used,
accidents can occur which can result in severe personal injury and considerable material
damage.
Observe all safety and warning instructions given in this manual to keep the risk as low
as possible!
Do not exceed the maximum driver weight which your STORCK components are authorized
for – see D
, page 51.
IMENSIONS
NEVER combine the Powerarms SL unit with bottom bracket components of other manu-
facturers.
Forks of the Stiletto series and cranksets of the Powerarms SL Road series should NEVER
be used for cross-country cycling. These components are designed exclusively for use on
the road.
Check the surfaces of your STORCK components for faultless state before every journey.
Send in your STORCK components to us for inspection if the painting shows deep scrapes
extending to the carbon structure or if the painting is abraded over a large area!
You should only drive your bicycle if you are in good physical condition and your bicycle
and all its components are in faultless state.
After a serious crash you should no longer use your bicycle. In any such case send in your
STORCK components to us for inspection even if no external damage is visible. In your
own interest you should deal in the same way with all components on your bike which
are produced by other manufacturers.
When driving a bicycle you should always wear a helmet of good quality as well as
appropriate clothing. For special types of use, e.g. down-hill or free style, appropriate
protective clothing is indispensable.
Do not allow children to play with your bicyle. There is a considerable risk of injury.
Avoid making jumps with your bicycle as this would create enormous forces which could
result in serious material damage and severe or fatal accidents.
Always keep your bicycle in a faultless technical state. Care and maintenance will pro-
long the service life of your bicycle and its components and improve your personal safety.
It is essential to read and observe all assembly and maintenance instructions, including
those given in the manual of other manufacturers whose products are used on your
bicycle.
Always comply with the traffic regulations in force in the country in which you are using
your bicycle.
You should also rely on your common sense and avoid any unreasonable behaviour.
