Care and cleaning
Before carrying out any cleaning and mainte-
nance work, the power supply to the unit must
be disconnected.
We recommend that you clean the oven regularly and re-
move any deposits of food from the inside and outside of
the appliance. If the appliance is not cleaned regularly, its
surface could become damaged, permanently affecting
the appliance's lifespan and possibly causing a safety
hazard. Please keep in mind the following:
Do not use a steam cleaner.
!
The use of abrasive products, alcohol or thinner
is not recommended; they may damage the
appliance.
• To protect against the risk of electrical shock, do not im-
merse the unit, cord or plug in water or other liquids or
sprinkle water to clean the appliance!
• Cleaning by children should not be carried out without
supervision.

Cleaning the outer surfaces

To clean both the electronic programmer window and the
oven door, use a window cleaning product applied with a
soft cloth.
Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners or sharp me-
!
tal scrapers to clean the oven door glass since
they can scratch the surface, which may result
in shattering of the glass.

Cleaning the inside of the appliance

Use a damp, soapy sponge.
In the case of odour or caked-on dirt, boil water with
lemon juice or vinegar in a cup for two minutes in the
oven and clean the insides with a little dishwashing liquid.
• Don't clean the appliance when it still hot! The inside and
external surface of the oven should preferably be clea-
ned by damp cloth when cooling down.
• Wash all accessories in hot soapy water or in the dish-
washer and rub them dry with a paper or cloth towel.
• If you use your oven for an extended period of time, con-
densation may form. Dry it using a soft cloth.
• There is a rubber seal surrounding the oven opening,
which guarantees its perfect function. Check the condi-
tion of this seal on a regular basis. If necessary, clean it
and avoid using abrasive products or objects to do so.
Warning: If the door or door seal are damaged,
the oven should not be used until it has been re-
paired by a competent person.
• Never line the oven bottom with aluminium foil, as the
consequent accumulation of heat could compromise
the cooking and even damage the enamel.

Steam cleaning method

This method makes oven cleaning much easier, because
steam and heat make it easier to remove dirt.
• Remove the accessories such as roasting pan, baking
tray and grate.
• Fill about 0.4 litres of water with a little detergent into
the bottom of the base or into a glass (put it in).
• Close the oven. Select bottom heat at 70°C.
• After approx. 30 minutes, switch off the unit and discon-
nect it from the mains. Remove softened food residues
with a cloth.
• Note the previous cleaning instructions for baked-on
soils.
Take care when opening the door during the
steam cleaning process.
The water and steam are very hot!
