Please read these operating instructions carefully. Use the device only as
described in this manual.
•
Before taking any measurements always check the device, the measuring
cables and any other accessories for possible damage. In the event of
any damage, do not attempt to take measurements. Have the device
repaired by an authorized technician.
•
Do not exceed the maximum allowable input voltage (see technical Data).
•
Do not exceed the maximum allowable input values for any measurement
function.
•
Before changing the measuring range always remove the probes from the
device from which measurements are being taken.
•
When carrying out measurements of over 60 V DC or 25 V AC always
follows the relevant safety regulations. Disconnect the circuit from the
power supply before connecting the probe tips.
•
The 10 A range is protected by a fuse. To avoid damage to either the
device or to persons, do not exceed this range.
•
Do not connect any power source to the 2 A and the 10 A inputs. If this
advice is not strictly followed, the device may be damaged and injuries
may occur.
•
Ensure no humidity can enter the device or the measurement cables.
•
Carry out measurements only on an insulated floor, in dry clothing and
wearing rubber shoes (or standing on a rubber mat). Do not touch any
metallic objects.
•
Do not touch bare wires or live areas of the device during measurements.
•
Important! The device is not suitable for use in industrial high voltage
plants.
•
Only use original accessories.
•
Keep the device out of the range of children.
