3. Connect the measuring cables with the resistor you intent to test.
Notice:
• When measuring resistances over 1 MΩ, it may take several seconds until
a stable measurement value is displayed.
• When measuring small resistances in the 200 Ω range, the accuracy of the
measurement may be adversely influenced by the inherent resistance
(0.2 ...1 Ω) of the measurement cables. To determine the error before
measurement, connect the measurement cables to the input sockets of the
unit and short the test leads. The displayed value shows the inherent
resistance of the measurement cables. To obtain the correct result, this
value must be deducted from the displayed reading.
• Ensure good contact between probes and test resistance during the
resistance test. Dirt or other forms of contamination on the test probes or
leads of the resistor may result in incorrect readings.
•
If the measured resistance value exceeds the selected range, an overflow
"1" is displayed.
