2.5 Ending the charging process
In order to end the charging process, switch the power switch on the rear of the device to OFF and unplug the plug of the device from
the power socket. Then first remove the black minus clamp. Then, remove the red plus clamp from the plus pole of the battery. For
a battery that is not maintenance-free, check the fluid level in each individual battery cell and top up with distilled water until the
maximum mark is reached. Do not use tap water. Then replace the cell caps firmly. Any acid splashes should now be removed from
the surface of the battery. To do this, use a piece of fabric that can be disposed of after use in a safe and environmentally-friendly way.
Caution, battery acid is very corrosive. Use goggles and protective gloves. (See Safety notes)

3 After use

3.1 Cleaning
To safely clean the device, first unplug the mains plug. Clean the charger with only lightly damp, soft cloth and a mild cleaning agent.
Ensure that no cleaning agents or fluids get into the device. Do not use any strong cleaning agents, solvents, gasoline, etc.
3.2 Storage
Store the charger in a dry location. Never expose the unit to permanent sunlight
4 Faults
4.1 Short-circuit
If you touch one of the pole clamps touch while the charger is connected to the mains power and the mains switch is set to ON the
green 30 Ampere fuse may be triggered.
If this happens, pull the mains plug and switch the mains switch to OFF. Now detach the pole clamps. Replace the fuse with one of the
same strength. Make sure that the charger remains disconnected from the power during this process.
4.2 Overvoltage in power supply
In the event of overvoltage in the mains, the slow-burning 5 Ampere glass fuse may trigger.
In this case, pull the mains plug. Replace the fuse with one of the same strength. To do this, unscrew the fuse cover on the front of the
device. Make sure that the charger remains disconnected from the power during this process.
4.3 Damage to the charger
If the charger is visibly damaged and does not function, when smoke develops or if fluid has penetrated into the work lamp, operation
without danger is no longer possible.
Put the charger immediately out of operation. To do this, pull the mains plug and switch off the charger using the mains switch. Then
release the clamps.
4.4 Voiding the guarantee
The device may not be opened. Every attempt of the modification or repair on this device allows the guarantee to expire.
4.5 Disposal
Electric and electronics devices can endanger our environment if they are not disposed correctly; therefore you must dispose of
this separately from the household waste. Perform a contribution to the environmental protection and dispose of the charger
in accordance with the local regulations, for example a reusable material yard. Thank you very much.
