3 Third-party starting
If the battery does not have enough energy to start the motor via
the starter, you may attempt to start using the device. To do this,
connect the device as described in section 2.4 and charge the bat-
tery with the boost function for at least 10 minutes. Then switch
the Charge/Start switch over to the start function (person knee-
ling in front of car). Now start the car as usual. Do not operate the
starter for more than 3 seconds. If the car has not started by this
time, stop the process. Wait 120 seconds before trying again. Do
not attempt to start the vehicle more than 5 times. You must keep
to these instruction otherwise the device, the battery or the vehicle electronics may be damaged

4 After use

4.1 Cleaning
In order to clean the device safely, first disconnect the mains plug. Clean the charger only with a slightly dampened, soft cloth and a
mild cleaning agent. Make sure that neither cleaning agent nor liquid is permitted to enter the device. Do not use aggressive cleaning
agents, solvents, petrol etc.
4.2 Storage
Store the charger in a dry location. Do not expose the device to permanent sunlight.
5 Faults

5.1 Short-circuit

If the pole clamps touch when the charger is connected to the power supply
and the mains switch is set to ON, the 50 Ampere may trigger the fuse. In
this case, pull the mains plug and set the mains switch to OFF. Now separate
the pole clamps. Replace the fuse for one of the same strength. To do this,
pull the plastic cap marked FUSE off and undo the two nuts. Now remove the
blown fuse and replace with a new one. Only use a fuse of the same type and
strength (50 A). Tighten the nuts back up and fit the plastic cover back onto the device. Make sure that the charger remains off the
mains power supply during the entire process.
5.2 Damage to the charger
If the charger is visibly damaged, shows no functionality, if smoke is generated or if liquid has entered the device, safe operation is no
longer possible. Immediately take the charger out of operation. To do this, first pull the mains plug and then switch the charger off
using the mains switch. Then undo the clamps.
5.3 Voiding the guarantee
The device may not be opened. Any attempt to change or repair this device will void the guarantee.
5.4 Disposal
Electrical and electronic devices may pose a risk to the environment if they are not disposed of correctly. For this reason,
do not put such devices in the household waste. Make your contribution to protecting the environment and dispose of the
charger in accordance with the local regulations, for example, at a collection station.
