Using the refrigerator

NOTE
• When operating with LPG, the burner must be cleaned frequently
(two or three times a year).
• Ignition problems may occur at altitudes above 1,000 m. If possible,
switch to a different energy source.

Autonomous gas mode
!
WARNING!
In autonomous gas mode, the refrigerator must be switched off
manually during refueling.
For autonomous gas mode, the optional battery packs must be installed (refer to the
chapter "Optional battery packs" on page 23). A connection to an AC or DC power
supply is then no longer necessary.
When using 12 batteries (type AA), the refrigerator can be operated autonomously
for 2 to 3 days.
Please note the following special features for autonomous gas operation:
• The refrigerator interior lighting remains switched off.
• The display turns off 2 seconds after the last activity.
• The display switches on briefly every 15 seconds. This indicates that the refriger-
ator is on.
• If there is a pending error message, the display switches on permanently.
