Install the motor so that it is accessible at all times.

Observe the installation drawing. This is packaged with the attachment set or can be
º œ
requested through the responsible branch and contains the corresponding dimensions,
dependent on the installation type and profile system.
All dimensions of the particular installation are the responsibility of the installer and must
º œ
adjusted, if required.
Before working on the profiles, take note of the following:
º œ
- Minimum sash width,
- Minimum sash height,
- Maximum sash weight,
- Existing wind and snow loads,
- Space requirement at the profile, taking into account the type of installation.
Check the required minimum distances.
º œ
Perform a function check. Use the proper GU testing and setting apparatus (see chapter
º œ
„11 Components and accessories" on page 26).

The electrical installation on site must be performed exclusively by a quali-

A two-wire (230 V) connection cable is required for connecting the motor (see chapter „5 Tech-
nical data for 1 Motor" on page 21).
Observe the electric connection plan in chapter „16 Connection diagram" on page 29.

For cable lengths, cable types and cable cross sections observe the details given in the
º œ
connection diagram and under "Technical data".
Ensure that the cables are protected against being sheared, kinked or twisted. If neces-
º œ
sary use cable ducts.
Observe the connection assignment, the permitted drive voltage (see type label), the
º œ
minimum and maximum power specifications (see technical data) and the mounting and
installation instructions, and follow them exactly.

Risk of electric shock

For electrical installation on site, observe the VDE regulations (German
œ
Electrical Engineers Association) and the requirements of the local
electricity supplier.
Switch off all current-carrying parts before working on the installation or
œ
the controller.
Risk of destroying the motor
The motor requires a 230 V AC connection. Other voltages will destroy
œ
the motor.
Connect the motor accordingly.
œ
Do not lay the motor connection cable together with a mains cable.
œ
Lay low-voltage lines separately from power lines.
