Rack and pinion drive
 Now position the bracket at the front, mark the positions of the
holes, drill hole in closing fi xture and attach the front bracket
(see explanation in section "Installation").
 Mount the drive and the rack and pinion follower (see
explanations in section "Installation").
 To install the connecting rod, follow these steps:
- Insert the connecting rod in one drive fi rst, then the
other. The rod must project at least 2 millimetres from
drive and rack and pinion follower.
- Insert the M8x14 mm countersunk screws (included in
the scope of delivery for the connecting rod) into the two
rod ends and tighten so they cannot come out.
7.3 Verifying that the installation has been performed correctly
 Check that the window is sealed properly, also at the corners, and make sure there are no
obstructions exist as a result of a positioning error during installation.
 Verify that the drive is in line with the window axis, i.e. that it is at a 90° angle to the win-
dow; otherwise the gear rack will put too much stress on the shaft and will consume more
energy.
 Check that the power supply cable is not clamped too tightly and could therefore be dam-
aged by the rotating drive that opens or closes the window.
 Verify that the screws and nuts are properly tightened.

Installation (electrical)

The electrical installation on site must be performed exclusively by a quali-

A three-wire (230 V) connection cable is required for connecting the motor (see chapter „4
Technical data" on page 18).
    Observe the electric connection plan in chapter „14 Connection diagram" on page 27.
   
For cable lengths, cable types and cable cross sections observe the details given in the
connection diagram and under "Technical data".

Risk of electric shock

 
For electrical installation on site, observe the VDE regulations (German
Electrical Engineers Association) and the requirements of the local
electricity supplier.
 
Switch off all current-carrying parts before working on the installation or
the controller.
Risk of destroying the motor
  The motor requires a 230 V AC connection. Other voltages will destroy
the motor.
  Connect the motor accordingly.
  Do not lay the motor connection cable together with a mains cable.
  Lay low-voltage lines separately from power lines.
