Calculating the opening and closing force
With the formulas listen in the following, you can roughly determine what
NOTE
force is needed to open or close a window.

Free-moving windows are assumed. Snow loads, if present, must also be
considered.
The application formula considers only tilt and top-hung windows. The
NOTE
permitted motor force corresponding to the technical specifications can be

obtained in chapter 5 on page 21. If the values you achieved lie outside
the technical max. force, check with Gretsch-Unitas.
