Installation

Installation
The following pages describe the installation of the devices of the IP matrix switch.
NOTE:
When choosing a place for the device, please ensure to comply with the
ambient temperature limit (see Technical data on page 22) close to the device. The
ambient temperature limit must not be influenced by other devices.

Power supply

Power
Red.
Main
Plug one of the supplied power cable in this interface. Connect the
Main Power:
power cable with a power outlet and turn the power button on.
If required, plug one of the supplied power cable in this interface to
Red. Power:
establish a redundant power supply. Connect the power cable with a power outlet of
another power circuit and turn the power button on.

Network interfaces

Network A Network B
Plug in a category 5e (or better) twisted-pair cable, which is available as
Network A:
accessory.
Connect the other end of the cable to a network interface of the local network.
If required, plug in a category 5e (or better) twisted-pair cable, which is
Network B:
available as accessory.
Connect the other end of the cable to a network interface of the local network.
