SOLVING PROBLEMS

If any problems occur during operation, you will find solutions in this section.
Problem
The appliance does not
respond. The cutting blades
do not move.
All lights on the control
panel are flashing simulta-
neously. The appliance does
not respond.
Food is unevenly chopped.
Food is chopped too finely
or is watery.
Food sticks to cutting blades
and jug
Liquid is running down on
the power base or accumula-
ting below the power base.
Possible Reason
The appliance is not live.
Is the ON/OFF button illuminated?
Is a function button illuminated?
This appliance has a motor
protection feature to protect against
overheating.
Too much food is in the jug.
The ingredients may be too large.
The ingredients are over-processed.
Food sticks to the cutting blades
and jug.
The mixture may be too thick.
The lid is not closed properly.
There is too much food or liquid in
the jug.
The jug is leaking.
The Solution
Please check:
– Is the appliance connected properly to the power supply?
– Is the power outlet live? Check by connecting a lamp.
Switch ON the appliance using the ON/OFF button.
Select one of the speed settings, pressing the assigned button.
Alternatively press the SMOOTHIE / AUTO CLEAN button. See:
Knowing your »Design Mixer Duo Advanced«.
Switch the appliance OFF (press ON/OFF button), then unplug.
Wait 15 minutes then re-plug and switch ON again. Thereafter,
the appliance is ready to be used again.
We recommend blending in smaller batches and/or cutting
ingredients into smaller pieces.
Try a smaller amount and work in batches, if necessary.
Cut the ingredients into smaller pieces. For best results, the pieces
should be no larger than 2 cm.
Try operating for a shorter period of time. Use the PULSE function
for better control.
Try adding more liquid and/or using a slower speed.
If liquid has run on the power base, clean the appliance IMMEDIA-
TELY and leave it dry for 1 day.
Ensure that the lid is closed properly, before operation. The rim of
the lid must lie on the rim of the jug without any gap.
If liquid has run on the power base, clean the appliance IMMEDIA-
TELY and leave it dry for 1 day.
Try working in smaller portions.
Immediately switch OFF and unplug the appliance, then take the
jug away from the power base. Clean the power base and leave
it dry naturally for at least 1 day. Contact an authorized service
centre for examination and repair.
