Start up

Operation

Bring the appliance to working position -
secure it, if required, with parking brakes.
Insert the suction hose into the suction
hose connection.
Ensure that the vacuum material con-
tainer has been inserted properly.
Insert desired accessories.
Warning
The highest allowed net impedance at the
electrical connection point (refer to technical
data) is not to be exceeded.
Insert the appliance plug into the mains
socket.
Switch on the appliance using the ON/
OFF switch.
Increase the vacuum performance by
switching off additional motors. (motor 3
only for IV 60/36-3)
Warning
Avoid rolling up or bending the hose while
using the vacuum cleaner.
Cleaning the filter
There is a manometer on the front side of the
appliance; this indicates the suction under-
pressure in the device. If the under or neg-
ative pressure falls below -0.16 bar (-16
kPa), then you must switch off the appliance
and clean the filter.
Tilt the fastener for filter dedusting to-
wards the side.
Move forcefully the handle for filter
dedusting in an upward and downward
direction.
Place the fastener for filter dedusting in a
vertical position.
If this cleaning does not bring about any im-
provement, then remove the filter and wash
it or replace it (see chapter "Replacing the fil-
ter").

Shutting down

Switch off the appliance using the On/Off
switch.
Dismantle the accessories and store
them in the accessories storage com-
partment. If necessary, rinse the acces-
sories with water and let dry.
Note
Empty the vaccum cleaner after every use
and clean only when required.
