resulting in injuries.
Also, check that the bolts are properly tightened before
plugging the pow er plug into the receptacle.
If the bolts are attached or detached using tools other
than the 10 m m box w rench (standard accessory),
excessive or im properly tightening occurs, resulting
in injury.

receptacle before perform ing any m aintenance or
inspection of this tool.
1. Inspecting the saw blade
Alw ays replace the saw blade im m ediately upon the
first sign of deterioration or dam age.
A dam aged saw blade can cause personal injury and
a w orn saw blade can cause ineffective operation and
possible overload to the m otor.
CAUTION
Never use a dull saw blade. When a saw blade is dull,
its resistance to the hand pressure applied by the tool
handle tends to increase, m aking it unsafe to operate
the pow er tool.
2. Inspecting the lever (Fig. 30 and Fig. 31)
If the M 6 hexagonal head bolts (2) are loose, align the
sides of the fence and saw blade w ith the steel square.
After adjusting the saw blade and fence to a ninety-
degree angle, tighten the lever securing hexagonal
head bolts (2).
3. Inspecting the carbon brushes (Fig. 32 and Fig. 33)
The carbon brushes in the m otor are expendable
parts.
If the carbon brushes become excessively worn, motor
trouble m ight occur.
Therefore, inspect the carbon brushes periodically and
replace them w hen they have becom e w orn to the
w ear lim it line as show n in Fig. 32.
Also, keep the carbon brushes clean so that they w ill
slide sm oothly w ithin the brush holders.
The carbon brushes can easily be rem oved after
