tion the décor foil to the proper position (pay attention to the height positioning
to correspond with the guide spots). Then refix the décor foil in the proper posi-
tion using the adhesive tapes and only then glue it.
- Then smooth the décor foil with a spatula on the glued surface. Advice. Follow the
steps and the direction of smoothening illustrated on the figure! Always start
smoothening the foil behind the cut-off cover paper, otherwise the end of the
paper pushes through to the foil - a gutter creates!
- Tilt the remaining part of the décor foil and tear off the rest of the cover paper.
- Wet the décor foil and remaining part of the bodywork again with a higher amount
of the solution you prepared.
- Adjust the décor foil back to its place and smooth with the spatula on the entire
glued surface. Advice. Follow the steps and the direction of smoothing illustrated
on the figure!
When the entire surface of the décor foil is glued, tear off carefully the upper
application foil approximately under the angle of 180°.
Press the glued décor foil slightly with a clean microfibre cloth (follow the direc-
tion of the arrows) along the entire glued area. Check whether no air bubbles or
residues of water / detergent solution are left under the décor foil.
Procedure of gluing the décor foil on the vehicle´s luggage com-
partment lid upper surface
- Always proceed to relevant figures when gluing the décor foil (Fig. 16 - 26). Make sure
it is positioned correctly (slide the guides on the décor foil in the gaps on the décor
foil of the roof). Glue the décor foil at designated places using a suitable adhesive
tape.
- Separate the décor foil carefully from the cover paper in 5 cm length approximately.
Hold the décor foil and cut the cover paper off (about 1 cm from the margin). Make
sure not to scratch the bodywork varnish whilst cutting. Tilt the décor foil back
to the right position and using your palm dry glue this part of the décor foil without
using a solution.
