13. Exchanging the Fuse

Warning! Turn off the unit and remove all measuring leads
from the input sockets, before opening the meter! Only
replace the internal fuse with a fuse of the same type. Never
use a fuse designed for higher currents. Never use a
temporary solution! There is a risk of accidents which can
lead to destruction of the device and void the warranty.
1. Loosen the three screws on the
back of the unit and remove the
back part of the housing.
2. The fuse F 250 V, 250 mA (FAST)
is located above the battery com-
partment in a socket on the circuit
board (see figure on the right).
3. Replace the defective fuse with a
new fuse of the same type. Do not
adjust or modify any internal regu-
lators or potentiometers, while the
unit is opened.
4. Reassemble the meter in reverse
order.
5. Continue using the unit only when it
has been completely mounted and
after all assembly work has been
done.
