a) Mounting with mounting bracket

• Draw the holes for the attachment screw of the mounting bracket at the installation site. The mounting
bracket can be used as a template.
• Attach the mounting bracket with matching screws that are suitable for the attachment surface.
• Attach the screen to the mounting bracket with the four enclosed knurled screws; set the desired angle
and tighten the knurled screws.

b) Mounting with Support

• Adjust the contour of the support to the attachment surface. You can bend the individual segments of the
support for this as required.
• Remove the protective film from the bottom of the support and stick the support onto the attachment
area.
Clean and de-grease the attachment area with a suitable agent before bonding.
Wait to install the screen until the bonding area has developed good adhesion. This may take
several hours, depending on ambient temperature.
For adhesive installation, the minimum temperature of 15 °C should not be undercut.
• The support can also be attached with matching screws suitable for the mounting area as an alternative
to adhesive installation.
• Push the monitor onto the support with the support holder (8), align the monitor as desired, and tighten
the clamping screws at the support.

10. Connection

The electric connection should be made by a specialist.
Connect only plug-compatible 12-V-cameras to the camera inputs (e.g. item no. 1408522).
To avoid short circuits and resulting damage to the device, the negative pole (earth) of the ve-
hicle battery must be disconnected during connection.
Only connect the negative pole of the battery when you have completely connected the system
and checked the connections.
You should only use a voltmeter or a diode test lamp for checking the voltage of the on-board
cables, as normal test lamps consume excessive currents and can thus damage the electronics
system of the car.
When laying the cables, make sure that they are not squeezed or scoured on sharp edges. Use
rubber grommets for the feed-though points.
The combination plugs and their counterpieces are marked with arrows. Align the arrows with
each other before you close the combination plug connectors.
