Sending or saving a new SMS message

Press the MENU display button. The display will show SMS Text
Messaging.
Confirm with OK. The display will show Write Message.
Confirm with OK.
Now enter the required text with a maximum of 160 characters. You
will find information on entering text in Chapter 5.3.
To send the text, press the Option display button. The display will
show Send To.
You can obtain further options with the selection buttons and ,
which are described in the next section.
Confirm with the OK display button and enter the required phone
number. You can select a number from the phone book by means of
the Search display button and the selection buttons and .
Now press the Send display button and the message will be sent
directly.
Further options
Save: Here, the message that has been written can be saved in the
Drafts folder.
Insert Symbol: Special characters, which are not available via the
number pad, can also be entered when entering text. Press the Option
display button and choose the Insert Symbol setting by means of the
selection buttons. Confirm with OK and select the required symbol by
means of the selection buttons. The symbol is inserted into the text by
means of the Insert display button.
Delete: This will delete the whole of the message text and you will be
able to start entering new text.
Sent SMS messages are stored in the Outbox folder and can be read
again later or resent.
