Logging on a third-party handset to the base station

Handsets from other manufacturers can be integrated into the
telephone system by means of the internationally adopted GAP
standard.
Switch the handset to be logged on into the registration mode with
reference to the associated operating instructions. Then hold the
button on the base station pressed until you hear a signal tone. The
handset will be logged on after a few seconds and will be allocated the
next free internal number between 2 and 6.

Logging on a DECT8600SIM handset to other base stations

Press the Menu display button
Select Registration with
Select Register Handset with
Confirm the display message Register with OK. The display will show
how many base stations the handset can still be logged-on to.
Now select which base station you want to log the handset on to and
press the OK display button.
Enter the SYS PIN for the selected base station and confirm with OK.
Now switch the appropriate base station to registration mode. To do
this, follow the instructions in the appropriate operating manual. The
handset will search for the base station and after a few seconds the
handset will be logged-on.
11.9.

Additional base stations

You can increase the range of the handsets by using several base
stations. In order to make use of this effect, all base stations must be
connected to a telephone socket.
